Health ministry officials have declared that there is no community transmission of the coronavirus yet and the country is currently in the phase of limited local transmission . The declaration came soon after the ministry released a standard operating procedure (SOP) for transporting COVID-19 cases. Earlier, COVID-19 was detected only in persons who had foreign travel history, and those in close contact with them. In the current situation, some positive cases with no travel history have also been recorded.
Officials have now started aggressive diagnostic testing in the suspected regions. They have also mentioned that all the patients having severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) will be tested to rule out the possibility of the viral infection.
