When one selects medicine, they are just not selecting a career option that is like any other. At the time when our peers are settling into their respective careers, we are consumed in thick medical books, preparing for our exhausting exams. When our peers are going the family way, we are busy working in the 18-hour shift. And when our peers are cheerily talking about their retirement plans, we are still making ground in our profession.
