How long can PPIs like pantoprazole or omeprazole be given safely? I have patients who keep taking them for years. I have seen senior physicians and cardiologists prescribing them with every prescription of Aspirin and clopidogrel.

Is it really useful in such situations? How safe are the dysmotility drugs like itopride or levosulpiride. As far as I know they are not approved by FDA or even in UK.
