Introduction-  If a fish hook rebounds and hits the neck, it could be lodged in a vital area of the neck or eye. Shark fish hook lodged in the neck is an extremely rare but serious injury. It is thick, hard, and weighs 25 grams. Only a few cases have been reported.

Prompt recognition and appropriate management of such injuries are crucial to prevent complications such as: - Injury to great vessels - Bleeding - Hematoma - Neurological injury - Injury to the trachea Background-  I had heard of a case of a fisherman who, while fishing, had the line with hook rebound and pierce his neck. Someone attempted to pull it, which caused rupture of great vessels and death. This prompted me to think about some method of removal if I got a similar case.
