A 67-year-old woman with no known medical problems reported with 6-month history of exertional chest discomfort. She denied pain at rest or an increase in the frequency or severity of her exertional discomfort. Examination The patient was referred for exercise radionuclide perfusion imaging and she completed 8 minutes on the treadmill (9 metabolic equivalents of work). The test was terminated for chest pain, and perfusion images revealed a small, mild defect in the inferolateral wall with stress that resolves at rest, consistent with inducible ischemia.
Resting blood pressure is 155/90 mmHg Heart rate is 76 beats/min Oxygen saturation of 100% while breathing ambient air. Physical examination is unremarkable. Electrocardiogram identified normal sinus rhythm.
