Public health provider, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), has recently announced that it has started offering an intranasal esketamine spray to treat adults suffering from severe depression. It is offered as a solution for managing adults with treatment-resistant depression. Major depressive disorder is a long-term disease associated with a high mortality rate, and in many cases, patients become unresponsive to standard antidepressants. Hence, there has been a long-standing need to address this condition.
