Large hiatal hernia repair is a technically challenging surgical procedure that requires expertise in advanced foregut surgeries. Difficulty in achieving tension-free wound closure and lower recurrence rates has led to the introduction of mesh reinforcement to improve hiatal hernia closure durability. However, the surgeons are divided in their opinion on the use of mesh following hiatal hernia repair. In this regard, Docplexus , together with the IAGES , has organized a re-run of the exclusive sessions held at the INDO-UK SURGICON 2020 .
