In wake of the recent monsoon havoc in Mumbai and rising infections, Mumbai Municipal Corporation has issued health advisory recommendations for doctors. The State Government urges the medical community to follow these antibiotic recommendations for post exposure prophylaxis for prevention of infections. In heavy rains and floods, people are continuously exposed to flood waters. These individuals are at a greater risk of developing Leptospirosis and other monsoon related diseases .
