This doctor happened to see his colleague who was found hanging in his house. the doctor also being his friend was trying to contact him when he found him dead in his house. This doctor after informing other senior officers declared him dead judging by post Mortem lividity and issued a death certificate with a diagnosis (FOUND DEAD -cause to be ascertained by clinical post Mortem finding) Theres was no other doctor in that department, police was informed and body was handed over still hanging by the rope as no ressussication was performed.
Was this the right thing to do? Can this doctor being a prime witness issue these death documents?
