'CT in a Box' is an innovative approach that allows rapid access to computed tomography(CT) diagnostic solutions in the circumstances requiring isolated CT scans such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The box was installed at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the jumbo COVID-19 center in Mumbai, to diagnose and treat COVID-19 patients. Maharashtra has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country, with Mumbai as the epicentre. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has reportedly established the largest COVID-19 centre on the grounds of the BKC.
As part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, a group of three established firms has joined forces to offer a 'CT in a box' facility .
