Recent advances in diagnostics and therapeutics for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) have led the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) to develop the first-ever clinical guideline for IBS management using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) methodology. Clinically significant questions were assessed after a comprehensive literature search.
