Many doctors write or advise their patient in private or government sector by simply writing medicines and advise on their pads or OPD or IPD paper with their initials in which mostly registration number of the doctor either collected from State Medical Council of MCI central is absent. How correct is such practice? Is it mandatory for a doctor to display his/her registration number accorded to him/her by the State Medical Council or MCI on the prescriptions pads?
