Mr.X, Indian,55 yrs old has diabetes type II since 10 years. He is on oral anti- hyperglycaemic drug treatment with HBA1C of 7.2. He is on Atorvostatin 20 mg. His S.Cr is 1.9 , LFT normal.

His lipid profile shows, TC 180, LDL 90 HDL 37 TG 290. HIS TG was 400 and after intensifying glucose control and Ator 20 came down to 290 but not less than that. Considering the AHA13 guideline, should we continue the same treatment, on also concentrate on TG reduction.
