A case of alleged medical negligence has been registered against an orthopedic surgeon at one of the hospitals in palayam following a complaint by a 24-year-old patient who claimed that a surgical procedure intended to relieve persistent hip pain instead left him in severe and prolonged discomfort. The case has brought renewed attention to issues of patient safety, informed consent, and post-surgical accountability in private healthcare facilities.
