Chronic kidney disease (CKD); is a term that incorporates all sort of decreased renal function, from damaged to mild, moderate, and severe chronic kidney failure. A study published in a recent issue of the Indian journal of Nephrology revealed 6.3% prevalence of CKD stage 3; which is the highest reported till date from a rural area of India.
