A series of small uncontrolled and controlled studies earlier supported the notion that recanalization could improve the outcome of ischemic stroke. However, it is really important to evaluate clinical aspects of recanalization and to assess variables like predictors, and prognostic importance associated with stroke-related recanalization after IV thrombolysis.
