Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) substantially impairs quality of life in adult women, yet many seek alternatives to invasive surgical mid-urethral slings. In this multicenter, single-blind, sham-controlled randomized clinical trial, women with mild-to-moderate SUI were randomized to non-ablative vaginal Erbium:YAG laser therapy or an identical sham procedure and followed over 12 months. Patients receiving Erbium:YAG laser demonstrated significant improvements in 1-hour pad weight tests, validated subjective incontinence severity scores, and disease-specific quality-of-life indices compared with sham controls.
