Very few patients aged 50 years plus have very low levels of lipids like cholesterol 98, triglycerides 90 HDL 27 , LDL 70, VLDL 23 (usually in this range). They have other risk factors for ischemic events. Should such patients be put on statins or not? What is the lowest level to which one should continue statins?
How should be these patients be handled? What is their outcome?
