I, Dr Ashok Kumar Bangotra, 67 years male wt. 74 kg, underwent Renal Transplant in Feb 2009. Developed DM type-2 after 5 years of transplant ( wt. was 85-90 kg) Took Tab Trajanta 5 mg morning, Tab Metformin 1000 mg twice daily along with other precautions like diet wt. Reduction etc. I was doing well but S creatinine level increased, had to stop metformin.
Plus developed UTI 2-3 times in a year At present on: Tab Linagliptin 5 mg morning Inj Insulin glargine 10 units at 10 AM Checking Bl sugar daily morning/ before lunch. It keeps on fluctuating, varies from 130-175 mg. In case it is more than 150 mg, when 5 units of plain insulin is taken, sugar is under control.
