Pennsylvania has reported 460 confirmed measles cases linked to an ongoing outbreak this year, including 83 hospitalizations , as infections reach their highest level in more than three decades. The cases are spread across 31 counties, with southeastern Lancaster County the worst affected, reporting 210 cases. None of the infections in Lancaster County were reported in fully vaccinated people. Two Pennsylvania residents have died after contracting measles, marking the first such deaths reported in the United States in 2026.
