Indian Medical Association is protesting against bringing of National Medical Commission Bill since it's very inception as it was going to replace tainted MCI, where it's national president, was once arrested for taking bribe for recognition of medical colleges and was termed most corrupt body by parliament committee on health. IMA had a point that here few bureaucrats having no knowledge of medicine will run MCI and it'democratic fabric will be lost.
Diee to protest by IMA Bill was deferred for tabling in Parliament and few changes brought to it as dropping of Bridge course of Ayush to MBBS and conducting a passing out licentiate examination at end of MBBS course but IMA still opposing it on the name of its adequate representation but now seeing too much delay in removing.
