A 30 yr old women who is overweight came to me for an extraction I asked the patient about  her medical history and she told me that she was taking metformin 500 be for lowering her bmi though she doesn't has diabetes. It is just to reduce weight.

Does this really help? Won't it implicate any side effects.please enlighten
