Role of Metformin in Type-I DM. 17-year-old boy detected having high sugar (400+). HbA1c 12.6, triglycerides 456. BMI 16.95.

Height 170 cm, weight 49 kgs. Started on Basal bolus regimen (Actrapid three times, Glargine once night). Will Metformin be helpful to this boy?
