The MCI currently following the requirements in the OP and IP strengths of pediatric speciality ---which was fixed very many decades back when we had lot of infectious cases like diarrohea. pneumonia, polio, tetanus meningitis, etc. The govt with the help of IAP and various NGO taken effective step in preventing vaccine-preventable diseases and also improved the nutritional status by various schemes which had resulted in deceasing the IMR.
So the morbidity and mortality pattern had changed enormously so that we don't get cases as we used to get 3-4 decades back. Just to satisfy the MCI we are forced to maintain fake case sheets and records. I want to know what is the method to request the MCI to change the requirements in realistic terms
