A one and half-year-old child with high grade fever of three weeks period associated with chills having no history of cough,loose stools or vomiting; but has a history of travel to Africa where she developed the fever. Mother had hepatitis A three weeks ago. The child tested was said to be negative. On Clinical examination, positive findings febrile with 103 F axillary temperature and  mild hepatomegaly.

What investigations are required? What are the diseases prevalent Africa?
