Paresthesia demonstrates symptoms like numbness, burning, prickling, tingling, or any deviation sensation. Paresthesia due to periapical infections and inflammatory edema results in mechanical pressure on the mental nerve. Paresthesia should be treated early to have better treatment outcomes. 1 Axonal neuropathy is caused by damage to a particular part of peripheral nerves called axons. One of the most common presentations in these conditions is small-fiber neuropathy (SFN). SFN is marked by severe pain attacks, typically in limbs. 2 Pyridoxine toxicity is a well-known cause of SFN and axonal polyneuropathy.
