BRCA related breast cancer is a different entity because of the poor prognosis it carries. Recently new targets in these patients have resulted in new avenues.

PARP inhibitors  — For patients with germline BRCA mutations and HER2-negative breast cancer, the oral inhibitor of polyadenosine diphosphate-ribose polymerase(PARP) Olaparib has shown satisfactory efficacy.
