Considering the requirement of new medical Colleges which was a necessity of that time to increase the number of doctors produced in our country, MCI allowed Non-MBBS faculties. People having MSc in the respective subjects were considered eligible to be the medical teachers. The relaxation was made only for the nonclinical subjects as they were considered as subjects of basic biology. But in the current era, the situation and scenario have completely changed. The two main reasons which forced MCI do allow the relaxation do not stand valid anymore.
