Paragangliomas and pheochromocytomas are rare tumors of the same tissue. Paraganglioma tumors are the tumors which forms outside the adrenal glands and pheochromocytomas are observed inside the adrenal gland. Signs and symptoms of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma may occur at any time or be brought on by certain events. This article focuses on the symptoms and diagnosis of the paraganglioma. The adrenal glands are involved in the control of heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar and the stress management.
