As per the news, the director and medical superintendent of a Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Egmore was captured demanding a bribe of Rs. 500 from a visually impaired patient against diffability certificate. The video footage shows the doctor signing the impaired patients’ certificate and then demanding the money. When the man said that he does not have the money that the doctor demanded, the doctor told him that he was ‘cheated’ by several people in the past who said that they would ‘pay’ him later, but didn’t.
