Taxi Driver by profession was driving his Taxi in the out skirt of Kolkatta 120 km from the city met with an accident with State Bus on 9th Nov 2002 in a place called Kanthi Digha. He was brought to Cardiothoracic Emergency at about 5 pm on the same day with penetrating injury to the chest wall.Though the picture looked ghastly the patient was stable.After preoperative preparation, the patient was operated by team of Doctors Dr Uday Sarkar, Dr P Shanki RMO, Dr R Basu and Prof Susheela Mittra (HOD of CTVS At that time).
