World Pharmacist day in 2018 is celebrated on the theme of "Pharmacists are your medicine experts". The health ministry has banned over 300 fixed-dose combinations, but its utilization in the different states of India need to be watched by Central and State Government. Some popular drug based formulations of cough syrups, pain killers, flu medicines are still utilized. Overall drug utilization needs to be studied by involving State Pharmacist and Central Pharmacist on Pharmacy/Chemist store by the watch on FDCs.
There must be involvement of Clinical Pharmacist or Pharm.D/B. Pharm students in such activities, so we can avoid drug based adverse effects. We all know that Pharmacist is a major part of the health care system, but due to some reason, he/she was neglected by his/her act or by an act of others. Share your opinions.
