Pilonidal diease includes,abcess,cyst and sinus its an acquired condition caused by presence of hair n involuted tissue in natal cleft.its present 4 to 5 cms posterior to anus between buttocks,most of time in men, in age group of 15 to 35 years. commonly seen in hairy,obese,and sedentry or long sitting jobs on chair causing local irrition and injury to skin overlying on coccyx. patients may present as painful swelling in cleft or discharging sinus or swelling in natal cleft Diagnosis : on clincal basis,associated tuberculosis,diabetesand sometime carcinoma in excised tisssue noticed.
