Prescribing Generic Medicines, Indian pharma industry is very good in reverse engineering and as soon as the patent rights are over they bring out generic version. Now Govt of India says doctors must only prescribe generic medicines.
Yes I agree it may be on lines to satisfy the financial aspect but can the govt be more concerned when a simple water bottle brand is removed and all companies be forced to sell water in generic names without branding them? Even govt brands the water as AMMA water in Tamilnadu why not first sell water as generic water and also as Ayurvedic champions to sell their products in generic name than branding it?
