Goldenhar syndrome is also termed as oculo auriculo vertebral syndrome and craniofacial syndrome involving head and face in particular nose, soft palate and mandible. In 5 to 15 percent cases of Goldenhar syndrome, one gets additional congenital anomalies like high arched palate, facial asymmetry, hare lip cleft palate, defects in kidney, spine, limbs, congenital heart ophthalmic involvement, underlying orbital involvement dental anomalies ent impairment of memory and intelligence.
