Psoriasis is a chronic, multisystem, inflammatory skin disease that has a significant negative effect on the physical, social, and emotional well-being of a patient. Although there are several clinical presentations of psoriasis, the disease most commonly manifests as chronic, erythematous, symmetrical, scaling papules, and plaques.
Psoriasis involves systemic inflammation, and therefore, it is associated with multiple comorbidities, including cardiovascular disease and malignancy.
