Surgeons at a leading hospital in Pune, India, have successfully treated an extraordinarily rare and complex medical case involving a 25-year-old new mother diagnosed simultaneously with a massive mesenteric tumour and abdominal tuberculosis (TB). Medical experts describe the occurrence of both conditions together in such a young, otherwise healthy woman as unprecedented, making the case a remarkable example of timely intervention and multidisciplinary care.
