Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a significant global health burden that affected about 369 per 100,000 people worldwide in 2019 alone. While the primary injury of TBI caused by the mechanical force of trauma cannot be repaired, the secondary injury that occurs by inflammatory and hyperexcitatory reactions can be identified and managed. TBI is mainly identified through monitoring intracranial pressure along with clinical examination and imaging tests. However, the management of TBI is challenging owing to limited treatment options and guidelines available for the same. Nevertheless, with prompt resuscitation strategies, TBI can be managed well with better patient outcomes.
