Doctors at a leading medical institution in Mangaluru have successfully performed a highly complex limb-saving surgery on a 35-year-old man diagnosed with advanced thigh bone cancer, avoiding amputation and restoring functional use of the limb. The rare and intricate procedure marks a significant achievement in oncological and reconstructive surgery, offering the patient renewed mobility and improved quality of life. The patient, a resident of Haveri, presented with a tumour involving the entire length of the right thigh bone along with extensive involvement of the surrounding thigh muscles.
