History A 60-year-old female  with swelling of the external border of her right foot was hospitalized. She had no pathological history in particular. The patient reported that this swelling of her right foot was developing for two years. Physical examination Revealed an oval swelling in the submalleolar external region . The swelling was of 3  cm in length , mobile , painless , and of firm consistency (Fig.1) .

Clinical assessment Biological assessment of the swelling did not reveal any sign of inflammatory syndrome and the results of standard radiography was also normal (Fig.2) . When ultrasonography was performed, a polylobed lesion was found that was more than 3 cm in length. The lesion was described as long , non-vascularized , heterogeneous , hypoechogenic , and in communication with the subtalar joint .
