A 50-year-old Satara man with a rare, locally advanced cancer of the nasolacrimal apparatus - the tear drainage system connecting the eye to the nasal cavity was successfully treated at Apollo Hospitals Pune. Initially presenting with persistent eye watering and inner-corner swelling, the patient had previously undergone a failed tear duct drainage surgery and chemoradiation elsewhere.The cancer aggressively recurred within three months, damaging nearby bone structures, extending toward the skull base, with a second tumor found in the nasal septum.
