We know that there is a lot of dissatisfaction amongst doctors and patients both. Unhappiness has infected the medical profession. Lots of doctors are getting burned out, and they no longer want to practice medicine. There's also considerable unhappiness in society about the medical profession as well, which is seen to have become uncaring  and commercial. The reason for the tension is that patients want medical care to be cheap, quick, as well as high quality.

The trouble is when you want all three things at one time, it's not going to be possible for anyone to deliver it. You can get free medical care at the Government Medical College, but you can't expect it to be quick. You're going to have to wait in line, and the quality can be quite patchy. Similarly, if you want quick medical care, you can go to the emergency room, but you can't expect it to be cheap, and it may not be the best…
