A 33-year-old female presented with a skin lesion on her right arm. The lesion had appeared a month ago and darkened gradually. The patient informed that she had spent significant time in the sun and consistently forgot to use her sunscreen. On examination, the lesion was bluish-black and was about 2 cm in diameter with irregular borders. The lesion was not painful on palpation. The lesion was excised for a biopsy which revealed the presence of atypical cells containing hyperchromic nuclei with the pagetoid growth pattern of melanocytes. It was also observed that the tumor had extended into the papillary dermis.
