When I was a Medical Student in 1975, the duration of Medical Course was 6 and 1/2 years. During first year we read applied Physics, Chemistry and Biology for one year which was very relevant to formative medical subjects. Some may debate about the language English and the Statistics. But in my personal opinion these two subjects are very relevant for research activities, which of course now our country does not bother.
During second year we have to read Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry for 18 months. Ridiculously this training program in Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry has been reduced to 12 months, despite vast advancements in these Basic Medical Sciences Subjects.
