Case presentation A 23-year-old woman reported to the hospital with acute abdominal pain. T he patient had been previously treated several times for intrapelvic abscesses (onset timeline unknown). Medical history 1. H/o sexually transmitted disease (STD) due to chlamydial infection 2. The patient was undergoing treatment for endometriosis and intrapelvic abscesses. 3. No significant family history was reported.
Physical examination Palpation of the abdomen - localized tenderness below the umbilicus and peritoneal irritation symptoms Diagnostic tests 1.
