I have a 14 years old boy, who is from an affluent family. He has been showing persistent reluctance to do daily home work given at school. He also shows a great degree of resistance to study his lessons. He is able to grasp the subject easily but lacks perseverance, focusing and dedication.

The net result is poor performance in the exams. Parents are anxious and many times resort to violence. Parents, teachers and doctor also have told him the importance of studies. How to handle such child?
