An 55-year-old man presented with discomforts in both legs and found relief in moving legs. He is diabetic hypertensive for the last 15 years, NASH for last three years. Height 170cms, body weight 83 kg. Hba1c 6.6, all investigation, liver enzymes, b urea, s.creatinine in normal range, but has thrombocytopenia. hypertension is controlled. Drug therapy include glimepiride, pioglitazone, amlodipine, vitamin E, folic acid.

A diagnosis of restless legs syndrome was made, but patient has query if it can occur in non-diabetic also as his friend is having? My query is if this syndrome has any association with diabetes mellitus? Are there established investigation to label it? Is it curable? Request to all experts of the forum for kind advice.
