A 66-year-old patient having recent ascites, with HIV positive history since 1992. He is diabetic for one year managed on oral antidiabetics. When sent for USG Liver cirrhosis due to fatty liver was the finding. Sedentary in lifestyle. When referred to Gastroenterologist for expert opinion, Liver transplant was denied due to HIV+, Old age, Diabetes. Any chance of Liver transplant in Metro cities like Mumbai/Chennai etc or overseas? Any other mode of managing case than palliative? Chances of an increase in survival in this case?

The patient belongs to low to middle-class status [financially] had a h/o T.B. 20 years back. Defaulter. No other illness. Keen on prolonging survival. Still active at this age. Kindly Advise.
