There appears to be a lot of confusion wrt the  schedule of Inj.TT. Product information says somrthing else,we are taught something else and we practice something else mainly based on the whims and fancies of our patients and their relatives. Is TT necessary at all in this day and age. Commonly it is a practise to give a shot every six months, a phenomenon not mentioned anywhere. Or it is a trick adopted by quacks to make a fast buck and to repeat pt. visits unnecessarily very six months.

According to. my information, One shot of TT gives protection for five years after the primary course of immunisation. What is going on? looking forward to answers from this enlighted Audience.
