55 year old patient c/o not able to eat due to severe glossitis. she is hypertensive, diabetic and on steroids(due to adenoma of adrenal gland which was removed) since 10 years. in recent history she was surgically treated for infected sebaceous cyst before 1 month and was on antibiotics for 20 days after surgery. i prescribed vitamin B tablets , folic acid and clohex plus mouthwash + cleaning tongue with glycerine.
now glossitis which looked severe has subsided but patient is not able to eat spicy food as it burns a lot. now what should I do?
